Class and status is represented between the therapist and are main character Sophie. We tried to show the therapist to have higher status then Sophie as she is a working woman as where Sophie is a stay at home mum. We tried to creat this by having a slightly higher angle looking up at the therapist to show she had more power over Sophie. We also tried to show a light behind the therapists head to show she is the voice of reason, therefore the back ground behind Sophie is darker.
Disability is shown by Sophie's mental compared to the therapist who seams to be mentally stable (which isn't the case) this is shown by the therapist giving Sophie pills to take. This disability is not a physical disability this shows the audience that disability are not always physical .
Gender : we plan to show gender later in in the movie where the roles are reversed for the husband of Sophie. This will be shown with Steve ( husband) caring for Sophie. This is completely different from the male stereo type of where the male don't look after the children but go out and work. This is kinda shown in the first section of where Sophie's children run in and give her a hug.
